The U.S. Senate resolution of 9 December 2008 states that the attackers murdered six residents of Nariman House, including Rabbi Holtzberg and his five-month pregnant wife Rivka, and that their son Moshe was rescued by his Indian nanny, Sandra Samuel. The Hindu, citing a Chabad memorial plaque, names the six as Rabbi Gavriel Noah and Rivka Holtzberg, Rabbi Gavriel Taitelbaum, Norma Rabinovich, Rabbi Ben Zion Kurman and Yocheved Orpaz. An FBI charging release identifies Ben Zion Chroman, Gavriel Holtzberg and Aryeh Leibish Teitelbaum among six Americans killed in the Mumbai attacks as a whole.

Summary
On 26 November 2008 ten attackers trained by Lashkar-e-Taiba came ashore in Mumbai and struck multiple sites. The FBI states that from 26 to 28 November they used firearms, grenades and improvised explosives against targets including the Taj Mahal and Oberoi hotels, Leopold Café, Nariman House and the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, killing about 170 people. BBC reports that Nariman House, a Chabad Lubavitch Jewish centre in Colaba, was among the targets; two gunmen took hostages there; six Jews were killed, including Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg and his pregnant wife Rivkah, who ran the centre; Indian forces later killed both gunmen; and Mohammad Ajmal Amir Qasab, the sole surviving attacker from the ten-member unit, was executed by India in 2012. A U.S. Senate resolution agreed on 9 December 2008 names Lashkar-e-Taiba, records six residents murdered at the Jewish outreach centre, and states that two-year-old Moshe Holtzberg was rescued by Sandra Samuel. BBC gives 166 killed in the citywide attacks besides nine gunmen; the FBI gives approximately 170.
